Damn irritating
When you have made your post and it failed to save but ah you have a copy in the clipboard, great, then theres a power cut - damn. So I will write this post again.....
Played the shammy grinding the Ogres in Alterac, unfortunately couldn't find a quest to do whilst grinding. The Ogres work out at about 15k xp/hr which is not brilliant, later on I ground the Yeti's and was getting over 20k xp/hr which is approaching as good as I have managed so its Yeti's for me from now on. Had a strange encounter later a dwarf rogue!? (Named Jakkarta I think - thanks for not killing me anyway) on a goat (what a fine mount!) was watching me and we waved and thins he was level ??. Anyway he pointed at some other allies and kept saying no - now the interface is a bit difficult to communicate between the factions so I wasn't sure exactly what he meant and presumed he wanted me to leave them alone ( or did he want me to leave the Ogres alone?). ANyway the allies can over and I think he told them to leave me alone because after a few swings the rogue which I could see sneaking up on me stopped attacking after a few hits. Well anyway a few minutes later they attacked and killed me :( didn't stand much chance against 3 really even though they for 4 to 7 levels lower and as usual I was slow on the uptake of what was happening so was half dead before I could do much. As usual I was short on mana and consequently hp, I have got to do something about this it is really affecting my grinding, especially as I get bored and attack even though I am on about 1/3 or less of each - this has another unpleasant side affect, I get killed easily by gankers.
Well I broke off from the shammy halfway through the evening because a mate of mine was going into BG and I thought I would try and join them. Unsuprisingly they got in just before I got there but I thought I would try and get in anyway. Whilst waiting I managed to complete the Satyr horns quest for a few less deaths! This gave me a level and I managed to buy my skills before I got called into BG. Well we won 3-1 but it wasn't really much of a victory as they had 6 players and we had 10 and I managed to die 6 times to 4 finishing blowswhich is pretty bad as I hadn't died till a bout halfway through - too cocky I guess! The funniest event was a first timer who had managed to get the flag but didn't know what to do with it - he had run to our base but was running around underneath where the graveyard is. It worked quite well as they allies came in ones and twos and were easy meat! I think charge is a pretty strong skill in this environment especially against mages and I set up a lot of killing blows by stunning people as they were trying to run away. Oh and they should cut down all the bloody trees and bushes in there - I keep losing people in them, I need to pull my camera out a bit I reckon.
Well this is longer than the first post but if it fails this time I ain't doing another!

Would be interesting to find out where everyone keeps their cameras.
I keep mine two steps out from 1st person. (in other words, I zoom all the way in, then use the mouse wheel to click back twice). So, I can just barely see my entire body at an angle. I would much prefer an entire first person perspective (to be more realistic), but since in that position, you can't see your arms, weapons, or any effects over your head, it's quite ineffective for any type of fighting.
What about you guys?

I have mine about where yours is I think. I am going to try and pull it further out though cos I don't seem to notice things (Rogues) when I should. I let you know how it goes
I also play about 2 steps back, zooming further back makes the game look a bit like Diablo. I tend to notice whats behind me because I'm constantly checking. Quake habits die hard :-)
Yeah, if you watch the videos I make, you'll see me jerk the camera around randomly to look behind me, when I'm fighting, or running, or whatever.
